Cat Behaviour Problems
We understand how distressing cat behaviour problems can be for owners. Cats are sensitive animals who can become easily stressed by changes in their home and/or local neighbourhood environment, and this can have a knock-on effect for the whole household.
Feeling stressed is a common contributing factor for the display of feline behaviour problems. From aggression to toileting in the home, our cat behaviourists provide expert advice and support with your cat’s behaviour concerns.
Our feline behaviourists can visit you in your home or provide you with a virtual behaviour consultation. Our feline behaviour experts cover the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke-on-Trent, Telford and surrounding areas.
Why Choose Us to Support You and Your Cat
Living with a cat who is struggling with behaviour can be confusing, upsetting, and often overwhelming. Cat behaviour problems can affect the whole household, and it’s not always easy to know where to turn for reliable, compassionate help. At Second Nature, we take the time to truly understand both you and your cat, so you feel supported every step of the way.
We provide cat behaviour consultations for a wide range of cat behaviour problems, including indoor toileting and spraying, aggression towards people or other cats, anxiety, fear-related behaviour, and conflict between cats in the home. Our feline behaviourists focus on understanding the underlying causes of your cat’s behaviour, rather than offering quick fixes, allowing us to create practical, welfare-led solutions that last.
All of our cat behaviourists are accredited Clinical Animal Behaviourists (CABs) or Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourists (CCABs). They are thoroughly assessed and work to the highest professional standards. We are members of organisations such as the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians (FABC) and are registered with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC). As a result, many clients are able to claim our cat behaviour consultation fees through their pet insurance, or arrange for insurers to pay us directly.
Second Nature is also a vet-led team. Our behaviourists work closely with veterinary behaviourists to ensure that potential medical factors are carefully considered alongside behaviour. Where appropriate, our veterinary behaviourists can review your cat’s case and liaise directly with your own vet, ensuring a joined-up, compassionate approach to your cat’s wellbeing.
If you’d like to explore how we can help you and your cat, you can book a cat behaviour consultation through our website, or contact us for a friendly, no-pressure chat about the next steps.
